Project Scope
The work was carried out in several prioritised construction phases with different areas of application:
- Wall shielding: approx. 232 m² — Shielding of transformer walls in accordance with the detailed design
- Transformer area (existing): approx. 95 m² — Shielding beneath existing transformers (BT B)
- Transformer area (new build): approx. 105 m² — Shielding of transformer areas in the new building
- Additional areas (Basement 1 & Ground Floor): approx. 340 m² — Combination of HPP and UHPP shielding panels across several levels
Technical Implementation
Highly effective shielding panels were used to shield against low-frequency magnetic fields:
- Supply and installation of coordinated shielding systems
- Mechanical fixing to wall and floor surfaces
- Adaptation to existing transformer structures and structural conditions
- Integration into existing and new-build environments
