Project Scope
Several thousand square metres of shielding area were realised across various building components:
- Ceiling areas: approx. 3,322 m² — Full-coverage shielding of the data hall ceiling areas (NE & NW)
- Wall areas (interior façades): approx. 2,042 m² — Full-surface shielding along the building envelope across several storeys
- Floor areas: approx. 3,270 m² — Partial and full shielding of the floor areas depending on external interference sources
- Special areas: approx. 533 m² — Complete room shielding (walls, ceiling, floor) as well as integration of shielded doors and technical zones
Technical Implementation
The shielding was carried out using continuous metallic layers to reduce low-frequency magnetic fields. The execution was precisely adapted to the structural conditions:
- Mechanical fixing to reinforced concrete (ceiling, wall, floor)
- Continuous, closed shielding surfaces without interruptions
- Adaptation to load-bearing structures, girder structures, and façade connections
- Integration into existing building and data center infrastructure
